Between filming their interviews for the documentary, two legends took a walk on Beale Street and shared memories of their time there in the 40's & 50's. Click to check out the videos.
BONUS MATERIAL: LAURA DUKES
A lifelong Memphian known as "Little Laura" or "Little Bit", Dukes was small at four feet and seven inches and weighing only eighty-five pounds. Her father, who played drums for W.C. Handy's band, put Dukes on the stage at five years old, where she proved to be an explosive singer and performer. She became a regular on Beale Street with the Memphis Jug Band, along with Will Shade and Will Batts. In 1954 she recorded for Flyright with Will Batts and for the Albatross label in Memphis in 1972.
She was interviewed twice for the documentary, and this material is being shared for the first time since it was recorded.

BONUS AUDIO: FRED FORD & HONEYMOON GARNER
Fred Ford (saxaphone) & Robert "Honeymoon" Garner (organ) were fixtures in the Memphis music scene, and the two teamed with Bill Tyus to form the Fred Ford-Honeymoon Garner Trio.
This track was recorded during the filming of "All Day & All Night" at Mallards in the famous Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis (1988).

BONUS MATERIAL: REV. ARNOLD DWIGHT "GATEMOUTH" MOORE
Born in Topeka, Kansas and raised in Memphis, Arnold Dwight "Gatemouth" Moore was a blues singer who wrote songs later recorded by B.B. King and Rufus Thomas. Moore was one of the country's most popular blues singers in the 1940's, before becoming a religious leader, radio announcer, and gospel singer. In 1949 he was ordained a minister.
In 1988, he filmed this interview & scene at Lansky's for "All Day & All Night: Memories from Beale Street Musicians".

VIDEO: "Mama's Got the Blues" Excerpt
Singer Ruby Wilson, who would come to be known as the “Queen of Beale Street”, was born in Texas. At 16 years old, she moved to Memphis to start her singing career.
This footage was shot for the documentary during the late 80's, but didn't make it into the final film. The complete audio of Ruby's performances can be heard on the new "All Day & All Night" soundtrack album.
