RUBY WILSON

Singer Ruby Wilson, who would come to be known as the “Queen of Beale Street”, was born in Texas. At 16 years old, she moved to Memphis to start her singing career.

This footage was shot for the documentary during the late 80's, but didn't make it into the final film. The complete audio of Ruby's performances can be heard on the new "All Day & All Night" soundtrack album.
